Day 1 Izmir – Barcelona – Valencia
Meeting at the SunExpress Airlines counter in front of the International Departures terminal of Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport 3 hours before departure. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, we depart for Barcelona on SunExpress Airlines flight XQ894 at 11:35. Upon arrival at 13:15 local time, we proceed to Valencia with our vehicle waiting for us in the area. With our arrival, our city tour begins. Valencia is a historical and modern city located on the eastern coast of Spain, surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. As the third largest city in Spain, Valencia attracts visitors with its rich history, culture and art. During our city tour upon arrival, the City Hall, Gothic Cathedral, Arena, Museum of Arts and Sciences, Historical Market Mercado Central and the Old Silk Exchange will be visited. After our tour, transfer to our hotel, check-in to rooms and free time. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 Valencia – Granada
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we set off towards Granada. Granada is a city full of history and culture located in the heart of the Andalusia region. Granada is famous for its historical heritage, music and dance, breathtaking views, and the Alhambra Palace. The city is one of Spain's leading tourist destinations and hosts millions of visitors each year. During our city tour here, places to be visited include Gran Via Street, BibRambla and City Squares, Granada Cathedral (exterior), Madraza (Granada's first university), Silk Market, and the old Nasri Caravanserai. After our tour, guests who wish may join the Extra Grand Alhambra Palace Tour that will be organized separately. (80 Euro) There is a daily visitor limit at the Alhambra Palace, and our palace visit may be conducted excluding the harem depending on availability. We kindly request that you inform your travel agency about your participation status in this tour during reservation.) One of Granada's greatest treasures, the Alhambra Palace, is one of the most striking and impressive examples of Andalusian Islamic architecture. As one of the most visited historical sites in Spain, Alhambra is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has gained worldwide fame. This famous monument was begun as a defensive fortress and palace in the 13th century on a plateau atop the Sabika hill overlooking Granada, and construction continued until the 15th century. Due to the red clay used in its construction, it took on a reddish color and was named Alhambra, meaning "Red". Guests who wish may also join our Extra Grand Neighborhoods (Albaicin and Sacromonte Gypsy Quarter) tour after our tour. (60 Euro) Albaicin is a historic and enchanting neighborhood of Granada. Listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, this area is famous for its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and scenic hills. It bears traces of Andalusian Islamic culture and architecture and reflects Granada's history. After the tour here, we will watch the Gypsy show and their lifestyle while enjoying a drink in fully hand-carved caves. After our tour, return to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 Granada – Seville
After the morning breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Seville. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Seville is a city renowned for its historical and cultural richness, located in the Andalusia region of Spain. During our city tour along the banks of the Guadalquivir River, we will first visit Maria Luisa Park and Plaza America, which include the Plaza de Espana. We will also see the Seville Cathedral (exterior view), the third-largest cathedral in the world, where Christopher Columbus's tomb is located; right next to the cathedral stands the Giralda Minaret, the last remaining part of the mosque upon which the cathedral was built, commemorating the Umayyad Caliphate of Andalusia; and the Alcazar (exterior view), the palace of the Castilian kings. Afterwards, passing through the Archives of the Indies, where records of all sea voyages to the Americas up to the 19th century are kept, we will reach the narrow old streets of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, known as "old" Seville. At the end of our walk, after seeing the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower), formerly a tobacco factory and now a maritime museum, which serves as the main campus of the University of Seville, we will transfer back to our hotel. In the evening, guests who wish may optionally join the spectacular Flamenco Fire Tour (55 Euro). Seville is one of the birthplaces of flamenco and is considered one of the most important centers of flamenco culture in Spain. The city is famous for traditional flamenco performances, dance studios, and flamenco festivals and events. During our flamenco evening, you will be utterly mesmerized watching the flamenco dancers. After the tour, we will transfer back to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Seville – Cordoba – Mijas – Malaga – Seville
After the breakfast provided at the hotel, guests who wish may join the optional Grand Cities (Cordoba & Mijas & Malaga) tour for an additional fee (140 Euro). Cordoba is a historic city located in the Andalusia region of Spain. It is renowned for its historical and cultural richness, impressive architecture, and structures bearing traces of Andalusian Islamic culture. We will reach Cordoba via a 1.5-hour journey, where we will first be greeted by the Guadalquivir River. Crossing the historic Roman bridge and passing through the Roman gate, we will enter the city. The most magnificent structure of this 2,000-year-old city is the Great Mosque of Cordoba, one of the largest mosques in the world, rising on 850 columns. Entering it with our guide, we will witness the grandeur of this magnificent masterpiece while receiving fascinating information. After our tour of the Cordoba Mosque, we will continue on foot to explore the pristine old streets, the ancient caravanserai reflecting all the delicacies of Andalusian architecture, and the traditional houses of Cordoba. Following this part of the tour, our second stop will be Mijas, a charming and traditional mountain town located in the province of Málaga in southern Andalusia, Spain, famous especially for its whitewashed houses. Situated near the Costa del Sol coast, Mijas stands out with both its sea views and its historic character. Mijas Pueblo, the historic part of the town, offers a postcard-like image with its narrow streets typical of Andalusian architecture, balconies adorned with flowers, and whitewashed houses. Although the town's origins date back to Ancient Rome and even the Phoenicians, its current character was largely shaped during the Muslim period of Andalusia. One of the most striking features of Mijas is the small bullfighting arena built on the town's hill and the ruins of Mijas Castle. After our tour, our final stop will be Malaga. In our Malaga tour, we will visit places such as Paseo de Parque (Park Avenue), Plaza de la Merced, the Jewish Quarter, Constitution Square, Larios Avenue, Puerto Marina (Harbor), La Alcazaba, and Gibralfaro Castle. This is the city where the famous painter Pablo Picasso was born. After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel in Ecija. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 Seville – Toledo – Madrid
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Madrid. Along the way, guests who wish can join an additional Grand Toledo Tour (70 Euro). Located approximately 70 kilometers from Madrid, Toledo is a UNESCO-protected historic city that has been home to diverse cultures of the Iberian Peninsula, bearing traces of Roman, Visigothic, Muslim, and Christian civilizations. Renowned for its magnificent medieval architecture and cultural heritage, this open-air museum city will be explored on our tour through its historic narrow streets, where we will see Spain's oldest cathedral, Toledo Cathedral (exterior), churches converted from Andalusian mosques, and countless other wonders. After the tour, we proceed to Madrid. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. As the capital of Spain, Madrid is among the most visited cities in the country due to its deep history and cultural richness. During our city tour of Madrid, we will visit: the Bullfighting Arena (exterior), Puerta de Alcalá and Plaza de la Independencia, the Cibeles Monument, the famous Gran Vía street, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Plaza Castilla, Atocha Train Station, the renowned Prado Museum (exterior), Plaza de España featuring statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, the Royal Palace (exterior), the nine-gated Plaza Mayor, and Sol Square. Day 6 Madrid – Barcelona
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we depart for Barcelona. Upon arrival, our city tour begins. Barcelona, Spain's second-largest city and the vibrant and enchanting capital of the Catalonia region, has gained worldwide fame. Washed by the warm waters of the Mediterranean, this magnificent city offers a unique blend of history, art, culture, and entertainment. With its grand architecture, colorful streets, delicious cuisine, and lively nightlife, Barcelona attracts millions of visitors each year. The city is like an open-air museum adorned with Antoni Gaudi's unique works. During our city tour in this beautiful city, places to visit include La Sagrada Familia Church, the Christopher Columbus Statue, La Ramblas Street, Spain and Catalunya Square, the Andalusian Arena, and the Olympic Port. After our tour, guests who wish can join the optional Grand Poble Espanyol & Montjuic Hill tour (30 Euro). We begin our tour by visiting Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village), which was built for the 1929 World Fair and has now become a popular destination for visitors to Barcelona. It consists of 117 buildings, streets, and squares. Here, you will see representative structures from all regions of Spain, walk through streets reflecting the architecture of different parts of Spain, visit fascinating craft workshops, and take a short journey across all of Spain. Poble Espanyol also hosts artisans working in ceramics, glass, leather, jewelry, and other craft fields. Then, we head up to Montjuic Hill, which offers much more than just panoramic views of Barcelona. This area, where history, culture, and nature converge, has undergone transformation by hosting major events such as the 1992 Olympic Games. After our photo stop, we transfer to our hotel. Day 7: Barcelona – Girona & Figueras (Dalí Museum) – Barcelona
After the breakfast served at the hotel, guests who wish may join an optional tour titled "Gems of Northern Catalonia (Girona & Figueras & Dali Museum)" for an additional fee of 70 Euro. Our first stop on this tour is Girona. Located in northeastern Catalonia, approximately 100 kilometers north of Barcelona, Girona is a historic city famous for its medieval narrow streets, historical buildings, museums, churches, and city walls. During our visit here, we will see the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the famous Jewish Quarter (El Call). Afterward, we head toward the town of Figueres. Figueres, located northeast of Girona, is known as the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. The city is closely associated with the life and works of the renowned Spanish painter Salvador Dalí. The most important tourist attraction in Figueres is the Salvador Dalí Museum. Dalí established this museum to leave something behind in his birthplace and to exhibit his works. Today, it houses the largest collection of Dalí's works, and since he designed every part of it, it is considered his greatest architectural masterpiece. The museum contains over 4,000 works created by Dalí using various techniques. After the tour, we return to Barcelona. Guests who wish may also join an optional tour titled "Gaudi's Grand Masterpiece (Park Güell) & Gothic Quarter" for an additional fee of 50 Euro. Our first stop on this tour is Park Güell. One of Antoni Gaudí's magnificent works, Park Güell is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the fairytale park, it creates a magical atmosphere with its colorful stairs and whimsical pavilions. After admiring this magnificent work by Gaudí, our second stop is the Gothic Quarter. In the Gothic Quarter, you can feel the enchanting atmosphere of the Middle Ages through its narrow, labyrinthine medieval streets, Gothic churches, romantic squares, and Roman walls, while marveling at its historic fabric. Among the most important buildings in the quarter are the Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça Reial (Royal Square), Plaça del Rei (King's Square), and La Rambla. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 Barcelona – Izmir
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, we depart for the airport at the time determined by the guide. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, SunExpress Airlines flight XQ895 departs for İzmir at 14:15. Arrival in İzmir at 19:25 local time and end of our tour.
