Samos Island Tour - 2 Nights 3 Days

In the morning we meet at Kuşadası Port (Scala Nuova) at 07:00. After completing our passport procedures, we depart by fast ferry at 08:00 and enjoy an approximately 45-minute pleasant sea journey before arriving at Vathy Port, the center of Samos Island. On some dates, our guide may meet you at Samos Port and join the tour from there.

 We recommend that guests obtaining a visa on arrival sit close to the door on the ferry in order to expedite the procedures.

Our check-in time at the hotels is 15:00, but depending on availability, it may be possible to enter our rooms earlier.

In the afternoon, we meet at the point indicated by our guide at 16:00 and  begin getting to know Vathy accompanied by our guide. During our walking tour, which lasts approximately one and a half hours, we begin exploring Vathy. Throughout our enjoyable walking tour of approximately one and a half hours, we learn from our guide about the island’s rich history, daily life and culture, the lifestyle of the local people, charming cafés, delicious restaurants and entertainment venues. As we make our way through the narrow streets, we witness Samos’s past as well as its spirit today.

During our walk, we see the region’s only Catholic Church on the island, which is currently abandoned. With its silence and mystical atmosphere, this structure becomes one of our special stops, shedding light on the island’s multicultural past.

We then reach Lion Square, Samos’s oldest and still actively used town square, considered the heart of the city. Here, we see the lion statue that is the symbol of the square and explore the historic texture surrounding it. The Town Hall and Archaeological Museum located around the square are included in our tour as structures bearing important traces of the island’s history.

In the final part of our tour, we complete our visit at the monument to Themistoklis Sofoulis, one of the important figures in modern Greek history, known as Samos’s first president. At this meaningful site, we take souvenir photos and preserve in our memories Vathy’s atmosphere, where history and culture are intertwined.

During your remaining free time, you can sit in cafés overlooking Vathy, take a walk along the shore or enjoy the sea.

In the evening, one of the activities that best reflects the spirit of the island awaits you. In our Taverna Night program, organized as an extra, we enjoy ourselves in a pleasant atmosphere accompanied by live Greek music. The menu served during the evening includes unlimited ouzo and wine.( Payment for the Taverna Night Is Collected in Cash by Hand During the Tour ) Guests who wish may ask our guide for recommendations to continue their evening entertainment at different venues.

At Our Accommodation Hotel

After having breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we meet at the port at 09:30 and set off to explore the island. During our tour, we first enjoy a panoramic view of the Vathy area and receive general information about the island’s settlements.

We then head to Kokari, one of the island’s most photogenic spots. After our guide takes us on a panoramic tour of the area and provides information, free time is offered here. Our guests can enjoy the turquoise sea, take a walk along the coast, or capture wonderful photos amid postcard-perfect views.

Our next stop is Pythagorion, known as the birthplace of the famous mathematician Pythagoras. In this captivating area, with its historic character and seaside atmosphere, we explore with our guide and learn about Samos Castle, the Church of the Transfiguration, and the famous Blue Street. After a short walk around the harbor, we take a photo break in front of the Pythagoras Monument.

We then offer free time for an enjoyable meal break at the most popular restaurants in the area by the sea. You will have the opportunity to try fresh seafood and the flavors of Greek cuisine.

On the way back, we stop for a short shopping break at Lidl, one of Europe’s largest supermarket chains. Here, you can find both affordable products and local flavors.

Overnight stay at our hotel

After breakfast, we check out of our rooms. You can leave your luggage at the hotel and enjoy the last moments on the island until the ferry departure time.

For our guests who wish, an Optional Private Boat Tour offering an unforgettable experience is organized. We embark from Vathy Port on our boat, which accommodates a maximum of 20 people, and enjoy a pleasant blue cruise lasting approximately 4 hours, with swimming breaks in bays inaccessible by land.

At our return time, we meet at the port and queue for passport control. After passport procedures and shopping at the duty-free shop, we board the ferry and arrive in Kuşadası after an approximately 45-minute journey.
